Meet Matthew Healy, DDS Pediatric Dentist in Wichita, KS
Dr. Healy wanted to be a dentist ever since he was in middle school when his own dentist inspired him to seek a career in dentistry. It wasn’t long before Dr. Healy’s passion for working with children grew into a desire to become a pediatric dentist—the rest is now history.
Dr. Healy was accepted into a highly competitive combined college and dental school program at the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Dentistry right after graduating high school. He graduated in six years Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Dr. Healy then went on to complete his two-year pediatric dental residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital where he learned the skills to specialize in the dental health of infants, children, and patients with special health care needs.
Dr. Healy is a certified diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Southwestern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, and the Wichita District Dental Society. Currently, Dr. Healy is on staff and retains hospital privileges at Wesley Medical Center.
Dr. Healy’s state-of-the-art office has been featured on the cover of Patterson Today Magazine and he has been a contributing author for Dental Economics Magazine. He has also been an ongoing professional oral health expert on KAKE TV’s Baby Your Baby segment. Dr. Healy has had research on bonding agents for tooth-colored filling materials published in the Journal of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Healy opened Tiny Teeth Pediatric Dentistry in 2013, hoping to create a pediatric dental office that surpassed the expectations of his patients and their parents. He continually strives to provide the highest quality pediatric dental care in a fun, caring, and trusting environment.
Dr. Healy and his wife, Jena, reside in Wichita with their children, William and Madelyn. When not in the office, Dr. Healy enjoys relaxing with his family. He is an avid pilot and home-built aviation enthusiast.
